Hystero IUCD Removal By Vaginoscopy (NL0016)

This video demonstrates the hysteroscopic removal of a difficult Copper-T IUCD in a 34-year-old woman with two previous cesarean sections. Previous attempts at removal had failed because the cervix was retracted behind the pubic bone and could not be visualized with a speculum. Using a 2.9 mm hysteroscope and a vaginoscopic approach, the surgeon successfully enters the uterine cavity without grasping the cervix. The IUCD is identified, disengaged by releasing its arms, and removed safely within a few minutes. The video highlights the value of office hysteroscopy techniques in managing challenging IUCD removals.
