Hysteroscopic Polypectomy with Bipolar Resectoscope

This educational hysteroscopy video demonstrates hysteroscopic polypectomy using a 22 Fr bipolar resectoscope in a young woman with severe menorrhagia caused by a large endometrial polyp. The procedure begins with diagnostic hysteroscopy to identify the exact location of the polyp stalk before resection. Viewers learn the correct technique for bipolar loop resection, safe handling of the resectoscope, and methods to improve visualization while minimizing complications. Practical surgical tips are provided on tissue chip management, prevention of uterine perforation, and reducing the risk of air embolism. Following complete removal of the endometrial polyp, the cervical canal is systematically inspected, revealing multiple endocervical polyps that are also excised. This is an excellent teaching video for gynecologists learning operative hysteroscopy and bipolar resectoscopic surgery.
