Hysteroscopic Synechiolysis + Polypectomy (NL0053)
This video demonstrates the hysteroscopic management of a cervical fibrotic band and an endometrial polyp.
The initial view is poor because of inadequate uterine distension, making the pathology difficult to appreciate.
Once adequate distension is achieved, a polyp and prominent cervical band become clearly visible.
The surgeon explains the appropriate approach to cutting the cervical band and emphasizes shaving the polyp directly from its base.
The detached pathology is then carefully grasped and avulsed rather than forcefully pulled, reducing the risk of fragmentation.
The fibrotic band is subsequently assessed and removed, with D&C planned as part of the procedure.
