Hysteroscopy - Lat Metroplasty Failed IVF (NL0019)

This video demonstrates the hysteroscopic evaluation of a 36-year-old woman with four failed IVF-ICSI embryo transfers despite normal ultrasound and MRI findings. During hysteroscopy, the surgeon identifies a unilateral T-shaped uterus, where a prominent lateral wall partially obstructs one tubal ostium. A cold-scissor hysteroscopic lateral metroplasty is performed to restore the normal shape of the uterine cavity. The surgeon explains the anatomical findings, the surgical endpoint, and why hysteroscopy should be considered after failed IVF cycles when imaging appears normal. This video provides valuable practical insights into improving fertility outcomes through minimally invasive hysteroscopic surgery.
